When they're gone...they're gone...

In 2019 I lost one of my closest cousins. He was my best friend and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him and cry.

One of my favorite photographs of us was captured at my wedding by my professional photographer. The image is of us holding hands and dancing together with big smiles. It's the only professional photo I have of us together.

When I look at that image, it not only brings me back to that day, but I can FEEL his hands again. My cousin isn't with me physically, but that image is with me forever and I'm grateful for that. I have it for eternity.

My job as a photographer is so much more than pressing a button. I create emotions and feelings through images - and I have a gift for it.
